Kat joined AKORN in September 2020 after completing a Foundation Degree in Accounting with Financial Services with Lancaster University. She is now working towards her Diploma in Financial Planning and is a valued member of the team as a Paraplanner.
Kat supports AKORN’s financial advisers in delivering high-quality advice and helps clients throughout their advice journey. She also assists clients with setting up insurance and protection products, providing guidance and support throughout the process.
Alongside her paraplanning role, Kat is the Research Lead for the AKORN Central Investment Committee. This is an area she is especially passionate about, as she has a keen interest in the technical aspects of investment planning and socially responsible, ethical investing.
Away from work, Kat enjoys spending time with her family. Her interests include music, ancient history, gardening, and cycling. She also trains in Iai-Do, a Japanese martial art, which is one of her greatest passions.
